Lance Morehouse, Executive Director

Lance came to Sherwood in August 2013 with 15 years of non-profit experience specific to people with developmental disabilities and their families. He developed the Advocacy and Family Support programs at The Arc of Spokane and for three years was Coordinator of the King County Parent Coalition for Developmental Disabilities at The Arc of King County. He has helped organize grassroots legislative advocacy and directly lobbied elected officials at the local, state and federal levels for services and supports to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Lance also has the personal experience of being a parent to two sons with multiple disabilities; Lance Jr. who unfortunately passed away in 2006 at the age of 24 and Gregory who graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 2013. Lance serves as the Chair for Legislative Issues for the Community Employment Alliance (CEA), a member of the Lake Stevens Rotary, a student of Leadership Snohomish County and the current President of the Lake Stevens Chamber.

Ruth Sturgill, Administration Director

Ruth joined Sherwood in September of 2017 with 10 years of Administrative Management experience with the past 6 years being a Controller for a multi-branch organization. Ruth has enjoyed travel to several countries in a service position and loves working with people to develop their potential.  As the Administration Director for Sherwood, Ruth is an active member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for managing the agency’s administrative functions including the administrative office and staff.  Ruth also oversees the maintenance and custodial needs for the facility. She is the chairperson of the Safety Committee and is dedicated to the safety of the staff, clients, and guests of Sherwood

Joy Panks, H/R and Payroll Manager

Joy  joined Sherwood in 2010 she has over seven years Human Resource and Executive Office Management experience. Additionally, she has five years of experience with Facilities/Property Management. As the H/R  and Payroll Manager  for Sherwood, Joy is a member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for managing human resources, payroll, and employee benefit plans.

Jesi Griffin, Investment and Partnership Manager

Jesi excitedly joined the Sherwood team in 2016 as the Investment and Partnership Manager. Before coming to Sherwood she worked at the Imagine Children’s Museum as the Community Engagement & Program Manager. Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest she served in Malawi, Africa for two years as a Teacher Development Facilitator for the Peace Corps. Jesi holds a Masters in Social Studies Education and Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Florida (Go Gators). She is actively involved in her sorority’s alumnae executive board as well as the Seattle Gator Club board. What makes her tick? Traveling the world and nestling in with a big cup of coffee on a rainy, grey day. She has a passion for relationship building and is driven by the belief that “what counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Anna Gibson, Director of Early Intervention Services

Anna joined Sherwood in 2006 as a Family Resource Coordinator/Educator and expanded her career as the Director of Children’s Services in June, 2014. Prior to Sherwood, Anna taught kindergarten in Las Vegas NV and developed classrooms rich in parent and community involvement. She has a Degree in Human Development specializing in early childhood development and care. Anna enjoys working with families with children birth to 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities.

Ben Martin, Director of Vocational Services

Ben joined Sherwood in March 2017 with over 20 years of experience serving people experiencing disabilities. In addition to his vast experience and commitment to serving Ben brings advanced leadership skills as well being an Executive and Life coach.  Prior to coming to Sherwood Ben specialized in supporting people who experience disabilities with their employment and career aspirations while working in Vocational Services for Service Alternatives Inc. for over 17 years with 13 years of direct management level and above roles.  Ben is passionate about the personal and professional development of his team and customers.  Outside of work Ben enjoys being with his family, loves Alabama Football, the Seattle Mariners, and Seattle Seahawks and is an avid fitness enthusiast.

Callie Graff, Marketing Coordinator/ Internal IT Administrator

Callie joined Sherwood in 2007 working with infants in our childcare center which has since phased out. She has held a variety of positions at Sherwood but currently handles our internal IT needs as well as producing our marketing materials.

Ayumi joined Sherwood in 2015. She oversees the daily financial operations.
