Position: Infant Mental Health Counselor
Location: Snohomish County
Full time: Flexible Scheduling
*Salary Range: $83,526 – $108,583 DOE
*Hiring Range: $83,526 - $96,054.90 DOE

Position Summary
Responsible for providing evaluation and therapeutic support services for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities. Provide coaching, consultation, infant mental health counseling, and training services for caregivers of children enrolled. In this role you will demonstrate a caring, nonjudgmental attitude to every family seeking assistance. Be an active part of our dynamic transdisciplinary team of therapists, educators, and family resource coordinators.
Qualifications:
1. Conduct assessments and evaluations of children to determine eligibility for early intervention services.
2. Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
3. Provide direct therapy services to families of children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments.
4. Provide coaching and consultation for staff, parents and care providers.
5. Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers.
6. Participate as a member of the transdisciplinary team including caregivers and professional staff.
7. Serve as a liaison with the medical and educational community on behalf of enrolled children and their parents/caregivers.
8. Attend scheduled clinical and staff meetings and be an active participant in staff related activities.
9. Prepare written reports and chart notes as required by Sherwood Early Supports.
10. Provide in-service training for staff as requested by Program Director.
11. All information must be entered into Sherwood billing system by the last day of the month.
12. Maintain confidentiality of personal information and medical records.
13. Attend meetings in the community to represent Sherwood as requested by Program Director.
14. Adhere to all state laws, ethics, and ESIT requirements as required by licensure, DDA, and DCYF contracts.
Education:
Required: Master’s degree with a valid license in the state of Washington; LMHC-A or LSWAIC may be considered
Desired: Experience in early intervention
Desired: Knowledge and/or experience in early childhood development
Desired: Infant mental health, trauma-informed care, knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching
Commitment to designing and implementing programs, which respond to family needs and support families and young children with delays in their communities
Ability to collaborate with multiple professionals as part of child study team
Must hold valid Washington State Driver’s License and be prepared to provide proof of automobile insurance
Must pass criminal background check
